Random Updates

Well I haven't done a post about myself in a while, and I can't really think of anything else to put up here at the moments, so here's whats been going on in my world.

Between work and being a geek in WoW, I still find time for rec leagues.  Softball ended not too long ago with my team being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Bummer.  My flag football team is currently 4 - 1, and it looks as if we have a very good chance of placing first.

I recently spent a couple days up in the mountains of northern PA. It snowed most of the weekend, but we still managed to do a lot of sight seeing and bar hopping.  We lost power at one point, and had to melt snow to use to flush toilets. Good times.

I also recently broke it off with my girlfriend of two and a half years. It sucked, I wish her all the best and hope to hear from her down the road, but it was something that had to be done for both our sakes.

On the weight loss front, I've been pretty lazy as of late. I haven't been to the gym in I guess 2 weeks now, but I am still shedding the pounds. Mostly due to not eating out every freakin day! I'm not sure how soon I'll get back to the gym, because I'm pretty busy with other things going on, and I still need my free time.  In fact I may cancel my membership all together, because frankly playing sports is doing a lot more for me than going to the gym was.

Anyhow, that's it for now. So stop bugging me to update! :)

The quest to lose a few, part 2

Well, it's been a couple weeks since my first post on losing some weight, and while I have lost some, I've still been fairly lazy as of late. I've lost about 5 lbs so far, which most people would say is a good start, but the wrestler in me thinks it's pathetic. I used to lose 5 lbs in an hour.

That said, while I haven't lost quite as much as I wanted to, I have gained a lot of strength back. As an example, when I first started working out again, I was doing 5 sets of 5 with 185lbs on bench. At the moment I'm back up to 5 sets of 5 with 225lbs. Not the biggest gain in the world, but still pretty satisfying.

Anyhow, I'll try to get off my lazy ass more, and keep this updated a little more often with progress.

The quest to lose a few

So it seems I've been pretty lazy for the past couple months. I had an excuse at one point, I hurt my back pretty badly, and while I still have the injury (it'll never go away without surgery), it's to the point where it doesn't cause me enough pain to justify being lazy anymore.

So I went over to the gym the other day, and thought "Hey, there's a scale, I wonder how much I weigh now!". Well, needless to say it was a lot worse than I expected. 227lbs. Fuck.

So I've decided to get back down to a respectable weight, around 190, and to encourage myself, I'll be posting my progress here. That way, if I'm still a fatass in a couple weeks, you all can make fun of me.

Now, here's a picture of me at 227lbs, I'll spare you the pain and keep my shirt on:

I am the least photogenic person in the world.

  1. Note the beer belly I've been working on for the past couple months. While it is a thing of beauty, it has to go. The belly that is, not the beer.
  2. I'm also losing my hair. I cut it shorter in hopes that it wouldn't be as noticeable, but it is. Not much I can do about that I guess.
  3. Check out my thermostat. Pretty bitchin' huh?
  4. I just made you look at my crotch.

So I'm enlisting the help of you all, to keep me from being lazy. If you see me, ask me when the last time I went to the gym was. If it was over 2 days ago, you have permission to slap, and ridicule me.
